Recently the New College Alumni Dinner was held in the Main Common Room and Dining Room. 220 alumni, guests, staff and current students attended. Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof John Ingleson represented UNSW at the function.

The 2005 New College Lectures Series is on the interesting topic of Church and State: exploring views on the relevance of faith to politics. The 19th annual New College Lectures will be held in the evenings of the 25th and 26th October 2005. Entrance is free. Three distinguished speakers will address this important issue with a series of four public lectures and discussion over the two evenings (25th and 26th October):
