Dressed to the Nines

Fun-filled evening at Annual Cocktail Party

At 7.30pm on Saturday 28th of October, about 70 residents in formal dresses and bow ties began drifting into the main common room of NCV for the end-of-year Cocktail Night. Residents Dawn and Hayley share some of the highlights from the evening:

"The MCR was transformed with balloons and fairy lights, which spilled out into the courtyard. Adding to the fanciness, canapés were served by waiters, and two of our own Senior Residents, Brad and Rhys, made up a selection of pretty cocktails. Susan [NCV Dean] officiated the event from around 8pm, which was followed by speeches from residents Hugh Miller and Man-Hin Ma in which they shared their experiences of NCV and encouraged others to get as involved as they can in community life. Susan and Bill [NCV Master] then handed out two awards, including the NCV Community Award to Zamzam Kolheji and the Overall NCV Award to Joshua Ng. Afterwards people stuck around to mingle over food and drinks. The backdrop with 'NCV 17' written in gold balloons was a popular spot for photos!" - Dawn

"The end-of-year NCV cocktail party was a great success. Residents were greeted with cocktails, a live pianist and hundreds of fairy lights. Everyone enjoyed celebrating together as we come to the end of the year. We had the chance to recognise the great contribution of a number of superstar residents and the leadership team. It was a fantastic way to finish what has been a lively and action-packed year" - Hayley
