Hundreds raised for ministry

On October 27th dozens of Collegians and friends of Collegians got together in the Main Common Room for some boot-scootin’ and fair dinkum fun. NC resident Ben “Inigo” Connor

organised a Bush Dance to raise funds for Bush Church Aid (BCA), a Christian organisation doing gospel ministry in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia.

With a band (yet to be named) made up of enthusiastic Collegians past and present, and Ben acting as caller for the night, everyone danced their hearts out and had plenty of laughs. Nearly $400 was raised on the night for BCA.

Bush Church Aid is also providing care in the name of Christ to severely drought-affected communities throughout the country. BCA’s Kirkby Trust seeks to provide direct relief from suffering, distress, misfortune or sickness for people in areas suffering drought. You can find out more or donate here. New College is proud to be home to many proactive residents committed to community service and Christian ministry.
