New College lecturer

Lecture

Expressive individualism, the view that the best way to find yourself is by looking inward, is on the rise.

Dr Brian Rosner delivered the 2017 New College Lectures on the topic of personal identity, and is returning to New College for a further lecture based on his subsequent reflections and recently published book, How to Find Yourself. Brian asks whether the advice to look inward and be true to yourself is the best way to find a stable and satisfying sense of self and suggests an alternative route for identity formation.
