New College and New College Postgraduate Village offer a variety of meeting rooms that can be hired for functions. Our meeting room facilities are suitable for:
- Conferences
- Lectures
- Classroom lessons
- Meetings or interviews
- Performances
- Informal entertaining e.g. barbeques, drinks & canapés
- Formal dinners
Both communities are situated on UNSW campus and are easily reached by public transport.
Room Summary
New College
There are meeting rooms of various sizes at New College.
The Main Common Room is the largest and most versatile room:
- Up to 350 people can be seated in a lecture theatre arrangement
- Up to 250 people can be hosted for a formal dinner
- Equipped with 2 data projectors, sound system and screens
- AV set-up and technician fee will be applied depending on complexity of requirements
The Meeting Room is ideally suited for up to 25 people equipped with TV screen for presentations and video conferences.
The smaller meeting rooms are well suited for interview programs, workshops and breakout areas.
Data projectors, screens, lectern, white boards and other presentation aids are available and seating can be configured to suit your needs.
Alcohol and smoking are not permitted within New College.
New College also has on-site accommodation and catering available.
New College Postgraduate Village (NCPV)
NCPV's Main Common Room (MCR) is available as a multipurpose space for meetings and presentations, or as a partitioned space for smaller groups:
- Air-conditioned
- Floor to ceiling glass provide natural lighting and garden courtyard views
- Doors open onto the outdoor courtyards
- Adjacent kitchen area for serving food and beverages – instant hot water, warming ovens, fridge and dishwasher
- Equipped with data projector, sound system and screens for presentations only.
- AV set-up and technician fee will be applied depending on complexity of requirements
Possible seating arrangements:
- Up to 90 people can be seated in a lecture theatre arrangement
- Up to 60 people can be hosted for an informal luncheon/dinner
- Up to 200 people can be hosted for a barbeque event, with MCR and outdoor courtyard spaces combined
Seating can be configured to suit your function. Presentation aids such as white boards and lectern are available.
Consumption of alcohol is permitted. Smoking is not permitted.
New College Postgraduate Village also has on-site accommodation available.
