The New College Communities are two of the leading residential colleges on campus at the University of New South Wales.
New College and New College Postgraduate Village (NCV) are internationally recognised for providing an exceptionally high level of pastoral care and academic support to UNSW students. The opportunities and experiences available to New Collegians, through our comprehensive social, sporting, theatrical, cultural, volunteering and scholarly programs, prepares our men and women for service and leadership beyond university life.
Our communities are incredibly fun but also have a strong history of being safe and friendly places to live. The dedicated support available to those living in the New College Communities is unrivalled on the UNSW campus. This has enabled more than 106 New Collegians to be awarded the University Medal during the last fifty years, the highest honour bestowed on undergraduate students. We also operate the first college in Australia, and the only one at UNSW, to be designed specifically for postgraduate students.
Founded on Christian faith and values, the College warmly welcomes students of all faiths and none, from every culture and background, from all around the globe. While being based on and influenced by Christian faith and values, the Colleges impose no test of religious belief for their resident members. As a not-for-profit, New College seeks to offer an affordable experience without compromising on quality.
The variety of accommodation and catering options available means that the New College Communities have something for everyone. From the student fresh out of school who is looking for an exciting undergraduate experience, through to postgraduates looking for more independence in a collegiate environment – the New College Communities offer a wide range of membership options for college life at UNSW.
