Are you under 18 years old?
New College is a sought after college by those commenceing their studies prior to turning 18 years old. The College has Resident Advisers who are especially assigned to support Under-18 students. There are lots of New College social activities that Under-18s can be part of. Our Dean of Residents and team of Resident Advisers are available for pastoral care, and our team of Academic Tutors provide academic support. New College is fully catered and provides a weekly laundering service for bed linen.
Under-18 Local Students
A curfew is in place for local students until they reach the age of 17 & 8 months. Those Under-18s who are commecing their studies but who turn 18 prior to 1 May are not subject to curfew. The curfew runs nightly from 9:45pm until 6am. Those under curfew arrangments must not leave the College overnight unless they have an authorised overnight abscence approved in advance by:
* their parent or legal guardian; and
* New College
Under-18 International Students
New College is the only College on campus that is accredited to care for under-18 international students studying with UNSW or UNSW College. Under-18 students living at New College will have plenty of opportunities to meet people and make friends, helped along by a wide variety of social, sporting and cultural events. You will find other students who have arrived from overseas, but there are also many students who have moved from regional areas in Australia and from elsewhere in Sydney.

Foundation Studies
New College is primarily a home for Bachelor level students. However, each year the College will admit a limited number of students enrolled with UNSW College who are studying Foundation Studies or a Diploma, including those who under 18 years old.
